This was a recipe from the Merola family. Ralph ate it with great pleasure.
Boil some water. Dip some dried figs in the hot water several times to soften them. Take your time.
Dry off the figs and cut them in half.
Place some almonds in a half fig, with some anise seed, and place another half fig on top.
Bake 20 mins. at 325F until the figs are browned.
Cool the figs, and then sprinkle with some cocoa powder.
Combine the figs with some grated lemon peel and sugar. Wrap them tightly together in paper
